Our Tools

ProjetoMX offers over 40 diagnostic tools organized into categories: Email, DNS, Network, and Other. Each tool performs real queries to DNS servers, SMTP servers, or HTTP/HTTPS endpoints to return accurate, real-time information.

Methodology

• DNS Queries: We use Node.js native DNS resolver to query A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT, SOA, NS, SRV, and other DNS record types directly from authoritative servers.
• SMTP Tests: We connect via TCP to the mail server on port 25, perform an SMTP handshake (EHLO), and measure response times.
• Blacklist Check: We query multiple known RBL/DNSBL lists (Spamhaus, SpamCop, Sorbs, Barracuda, PSBL) to check if an IP is listed.
• Network Tests: We use ICMP ping, traceroute, TCP connections, and HTTP/HTTPS checks to test connectivity and performance.

Limitations

• DNS results may be affected by local or ISP caching.
• SMTP tests may be blocked by firewalls that restrict port 25.
• Ping and traceroute may not work if the target blocks ICMP.
• WHOIS queries may have rate limiting by registries.

Privacy

Queries are processed in real time and we do not store the domains or IPs searched. We do not collect personal information during tool usage.
